OneCity Makes Another Hole-in-One With 2009 Pro-Am Golf Event

Back in 2005 when the idea of a golf fundraiser to support OneCity became a reality, Brad Johansen and his wife Colleen had no idea about the tremendous financial impact it would have on OneCity and the Cincinnati community. But they went for it, anyway. After five successful years and more than one million dollars raised, the results speak for themselves. For the first time, this year's OneCity Pro-Am (July 2009) included 14 PGA Professional golfers in the morning 'flight' and local Celebrities in the afternoon groupings. Perfect weather, the beautiful Triple Crown Country Club, and hundreds of volunteers and spectators were an even greater recipe for success!

Hosted by Brad Johansen and PGA Tour pro golfer Steve Flesch, this year's fundraiser included local celebrities Anthony Muñoz, Dave Parker, Paul O'Neill and Tom Jackson, just to name a few. Kenny Perry, Bo van Pelt, Paul Goydos, and Todd Hamilton were a few of the 14 PGA Tour professionals to participate. In addition to the golf outing, a dinner, complete with a delicious Montgomery Inn spread and silent auction, took place the night before at the Cincinnati Sports Club where Country music newcomer Sarah Darling performed. The 2009 OneCity Pro-Am event was a terrific success.

Next year's OneCity Celebrity Pro Am is tentatively scheduled for June 26-28, 2010. We look forward to seeing you next year!
