Turn on the news. Read the paper. Drive around Cincinnati. Talk to your
friend, your co-worker, your kids. Sit down and take a minute to think about
life.
Your gut probably tells you - There is so much to be thankful for. We’ve
got hills and green (at least in the Spring), friendly, kind people, Little
League, and great arts, two stadiums, a downtown scene that is growing more
vibrant and of course, there’s Skyline, Montgomery Inn and Graeter’s!
You also might sigh or cry or shout.
We have poverty and ignorance and crime and addictions and
unloved kids. We have over three thousand not-for-profits, 900 churches,
and thousands of individuals who are working to make life better and we
spend over $1B per year to help various causes. God has given us enough
resources and knowledge to change Cincinnati. We believe that God gives each
one of us part of the answer so that when we come together and work for
change, change will work.
