Update
CityLink board has until April 13th to decide on next step for 800
Bank Street
In December 2005 we received our zoning permit to operate CityLink at 800
Bank Street in the West End and purchased the property for $1.4 million.
In February a group of individuals appealed our zoning permit. We were
disappointed in the Zoning Board of Appeals decision to overturn their
earlier decision. We believe our planned usage for the site meets the
current zoning requirements.
Legally CityLink has until April 13th to decide whether or not to appeal
the Zoning Board of Appeals February vote. The CityLink Board is
thoughtfully and carefully considering all options on how to best move
forward and utilizing this time to discuss CityLink with interested parties
across the city.
We remain convinced that providing holistic services under one roof and
providing an immense support system of volunteers is what will change
poverty in Cincinnati. We also remain convinced that the West End is an
excellent location – centrally located to people living in poverty and
easily accessible by bus/car for others in Cincinnati. We are open to
further discussions regarding location.
The board’s decision will be announced in early April.
