OneCity operates from the principle that growth and true life change comes from a willingness to learn, adapt and work with others toward wholeness. Rather than working independent of each other to solve local problems, we believe that a synergistic, cohesive approach in which people unite to tackle the tough issues facing our city will have the biggest impact for positive change. In developing local best-practice collaboratives across Cincinnati, we can help turn the tide on such issues as poverty, chronic unemployment and homelessness.

To fulfill these goals, we rely on a two-"engine" approach:

A Best-Practice Model Engine

We research Cincinnati's most pressing issues and then tap into local and national expertise in order to:

• Apply best-practice strategies in Cincinnati
• Bring existing ministry providers together for greater impact
• Provide new solutions where there are unmet needs

A People-Placement Engine

We create volunteer opportunities for individuals to leverage their expertise passions and time availability to facilitate meaningful, city-wide impact through:

• Life-on-life mentoring experiences
• Professional skill opportunities
• Project-based experiences
